Three to five minutes once the setup is dialed in. Most people are surprised how quick it feels.

How many people can you photograph in a day?

Comfortably 40 to 60, depending on how the schedule is grouped. Larger teams we can split across sessions.

On-site or in-studio for a team?

On-site is usually easiest for a team — less disruption and everyone stays close to their desk. Studio works well for smaller groups.

How to Run a Smooth Team Headshot Day

I have run these for teams of five and teams of sixty. The ones that go smoothly all have the same few things in place.

The schedule is everything

A team day lives or dies on the schedule. Once we are set up, each person takes three to five minutes, so I build a simple slot list — name and time — and share it ahead. People come down for their slot and go straight back to work. No one loses half a day waiting.

Each person is quick once the setup is dialed in. Same light, same framing, every time.

The space I need

A room with a bit of depth is ideal — around eight by eight feet clear. Near a window is a bonus, but I bring my own lighting, so a windowless boardroom works fine too. If your office is tight, tell me the layout beforehand and I will plan around it.

Shot on-site in the client office, so no one has to travel.

Keeping it consistent

I shoot everyone on the same setup, same crop, same edit. That is what makes a team page look organized instead of stitched together. It also means when you hire later, new headshots can match the originals rather than standing out.
